Washington, Willie "Bill"'s Obituary
Brother Willie "Bill" Washington was born to Charlie and Lottie Washington March 26, 1963, in Russell County, Alabama. He was their fourteenth child. He was better known as Bill Washington. He confessed Christ in 1995 and joined the Andrew Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church under the leadership of Rev. Benjamin Cannon. He served as Chairman of the Trustee Board and was a faithful member of the Senior Choir until his health began to fail him in October of 2011. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother; Charlie B. Washington, and a sister; Betty Martin. His memories will be cherished by his wife of fourteen years, Mary Ann Washington, four children; Kevin, and Jeremy Williams both of Columbus, GA., Corey Williams of Auburn, AL., Katrina Williams (Bill's Baby Grass) of Mobile, AL., four grandchildren; Jeremy, Elijah, Azerriya, and Kennedi, six brothers; John Henry, Jim (Brenda) Henry, Ulysses (Bertha) Washington all of Hurtsboro, AL., Charlie Jr. (Eva) Washington, Hammond, IN., Issac (Kattie) Washington, Seale, AL., and Tommy (Mary Ann) Mack, Columbus, GA., a devoted brother who dedicated his time to visit and sit with his brother twice a day in the nursing home and hospital. five sisters; Rosie Thomas, Juanita (Eugene) Henderson, Gladys (Henry) Tolbert all of Hurtsboro, AL., Susie Foster, Columbus, GA., May Lizzie Faulk, Union Springs, AL., three sister-in-laws; Letha (Harriton) Fluellen, Betty Jean (Clark) Key, and Catherine Thomas all of Hurtsboro, AL., a host of nieces, nephews, other devoted relatives and friends.
