Viola Robinson's Obituary
On Sunday, August 30, 2020, Viola Robinson, loving mother of two daughters, four sons, two God-sons, and Grandmother went to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Viola Harris was the eighth child born to Amos Harris and Pearlie Lee Smith-Harris on October 6, 1926, in Macon County, Alabama.
She attended school in the Bullock County, Alabama, school system and worked at the City Grill in Hurtsboro, Alabama, most of her adult life until her health began to fail.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, her husband, Nathan Robinson, two sons, Clarence and Winfred Robinson, and eleven siblings: Willie Harris, Elmer, Charlie Harris, Judge Harris, Henry Harris, Roselle Harris, Pearlie Childs, Minnie L. Comer, Lovester Harris, Paul Harris, and Polly Harris.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory two daughters: Gwendolyn Robinson and Annie France, both of Hurtsboro; four sons: Alfonso (Claydene) Robinson, Phenix City, Alabama; Samuel (Avis) Robinson, Merrillville, Indiana; Nathaniel Robinson, Hurtsboro; and Alfred Robinson, Union Springs, Alabama; two God-sons: Benny (Dollie) Turpin, Phenix City; and Willie (Mary) Parker, Union Springs; and a host of other relatives and friends
