My sincere condolences to the family. I remember the first time I met V, she was one to make your day, when ever you saw her she would have you laughing. When I learned of her dismise, it brought tears to my eyes. She was one to keep you laughing, she could brighten hour darkest night. She will truly be missed. To the kids, keep your heads lifted to the skies and remember that smile. Much love to the Entire Family.
Veronica was my kindergarten student at South Macon. She was such a smart little girl and I am so proud of the woman she became. I am beyond sad by the news of her passing, and I pray that God's grace will be sufficient for her family during this time of grief.

It is so hard to believe that you were gone. We just talked and texted not even 3 weeks ago. The night you got to Ft. Jackson. Since 2013, when we connected, we have been besties-sisters-cousins. We were like real sisters. People would ask us too. Cousin, I am still sick over this, but I know that God had a bigger and greater plan for your life. You touched the hearts of everyone you met and you never met a stranger. You were such a smart and talented woman and success was in your future. Take your rest Cousin. Your work down here is done. Although I couldn't quite grasp the news that Pookie (Veronica) had passed, I still know & believe that God is perfect in all his ways. I've enjoyed the many times that we've shared together. She was a very hard worker, and always strive to go higher and higher. God #1 & then her kids and mother was highlightsin her life. She loved her family hard. We made sure when we would see each other that we would make a big deal about how family should look out for each other. We instilled that love in our kids as well. As memories & tears are welling up, I close this note with a reminder of how the love of God can reach every hurt/broken place and staying rooted in God's Word won't shake us when trouble comes. If we hold on to the truth, we can endure this journey. So let's lift up each other in prayer & deeds as well as look out for each other; one soldier at a time.
