Rogers Isia's Obituary
Sister Isia Mae Long-Rogers, daughter of the late Reverend George Long,Sr., and Annie Lee Fluellen was born April 28, 1956 in Russell County, Alabama. She attended school in the Russell County School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Shady Grove A.M.E. Zion Church where she sang in the choir. On Wednesday, November 26, 2014 God realized that His child had fought long enough and called her home to sweet rest. Forever cherishing her memory and celebrating her life are her children: one son; Nathaniel L. Jelks , Opelika, Alabama ; two daughters: Celena D. Jelks and Kimberly D. Rogers, both of Opelika; three grandchildren: Malcolm J. Jelks, Taniah J. Jelks, both of Opelika, and Quantavious R. Jelks, Hurtsboro; five sisters: Sarah Curls, Atlanta, Georgia; Irene Williams, Orlando, Florida; Flora Simpson, West Palm Springs, Florida, Annie J. Long and Lula M. Rogers, both of Hurtsboro; one brother, George (Lucille) Long ,Jr . Orlando, Florida; estranged husband, Nathaniel Rogers , and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives an friends.
