Prince E Phillips' Obituary
Mrs. Prince E. Phillips was born on Monday, June 6, 1938 in Hurtsboro (Russell County), Alabama to the late Earnest Marshall and Annie Pollard-Marshall. She received her formal education at the Russell County Training School in Hurtsboro, Alabama. Prince confessed her belief in Jesus Christ and united with Andrew Chapel AME Zion Church in Hurtsboro where she faithfully served as a Deaconess and as an usher. She was employed as a cook in the Culinary Department at Ft. Benning (now Ft. Moore) in Columbus, Georgia for many years. Prince was very creative and enjoyed working with her hands. She also delighted in reading the Holy Bible.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Mrs. Prince E. Phillips transitioned from labor to reward at Southern Springs Healthcare in Union Springs (Bullock County), Alabama. In addition to her parents, Prince was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Phillips; three brothers; and threesisters.
Loving memories of Mrs. Prince E. Phillips will forever be cherished by: a devoted niece, Rosie Cooper, Hurtsboro, AL; two brothers, A.C. (Delois) Marshall, Ft. Myers, FL and Grady Marshall, Phenix City, AL; two nieces, Patricia Pass and Princie (James) Johnson both of Hurtsboro, AL; one nephew, Joe Tinsley, Hurtsboro, AL; one sister-in-law, Corell Marshall, Hurtsboro, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
