Mary Ann Upshaw's Obituary
Mary A. Upshaw was born April 10, 1944 in Hurtsboro, Alabama, to the late Rosie Lee and Jenkin Davis. She confessed her belief in Christ in life and joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Mitchell.
She attended Russell County Training School in Hurtsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Mary departed this life on Saturday, December 15, 2019 at the Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Vivian Upshaw of Hurtsboro; two adopted daughters: Donna Newman and Sheryl Lancaster, both of Seale, Alabama; two brothers: Arthur Lee (Dee) Davis, Columbus, Georgia, and William (Bernice) Davis, Hurtsboro; six sisters: Earnestine Davis, Haines City, Florida; Lucille Castro, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Lillie Davis and Rose Gary, both of Columbus; Christine Overton and Helen Nelson, both of Phenix City, Alabama.
