Johnson Mack Davis' Obituary
Johnson Mack Davis made his peaceful transition from this life to eternity. A vibrant and rewarding life that came to a beautiful sunset on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in the comfort of his home in Hurtsboro, Alabama. Born November 6, 1957, in Hurtsboro to the late Johnson Davis and Lucy Jackson-Davis.
He attended school in the Russell County School System and afterward moved to Detroit, Michigan, and worked for General Motors. Upon his return, he united with the Nero Baptist Church in Midway, Alabama.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gwendolyn; three brothers: Nathan Davis, Sr., L.A. Davis, and G.D. Davis; and five sisters: Johnnie Mae Johnson, Lucille Thornton, Bertha Hill, Addie Ree Chambliss, and Lucy Mae Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Jackie Davis, Prattville, Alabama; two daughters: Takeila Davis and Jakacia Smith, both of Hurtsboro; three sons: Terrance Davis, Hurtsboro; Patrick Fears, Lagrange, Georgia; and Johnson M. Davis, Jr., Hurtsboro; four sisters: Mamie Davis and Icia Mae Walker, both of Hurtsboro; Sardester Marshall, Saginaw, Michigan; and Ethel Thomas, Orlando, Florida; one brother, Johnson Davis, Saginaw, Michigan; a very, very dedicated friend, Vanessa Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
