Mr. Delvin Vantrise Smith, of Hurtsboro, Alabama passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held at 1:00 PM CDT, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Shady Grove AME Zion Church in Hurtsboro.
Mr. Smith was born December 3, 1989, in Bullock County, Alabama, to Gwendolyn K. Smith and Rex Johnson. His mother preceded him in death. He was educated in the Russell County School System and worked as a poultry processor for Alatrade in Phenix City, Alabama.
Cherishing his memories are his father, Rex (Pamela) Johnson, of Union Springs, Alabama; grandmothers: Lorena Smith, Hurtsboro, Alabama; Ella Mae Johnson, Phenix City, Alabama; Iona Anthony, Opelika, Alabama; three brothers: Justin Johnson, Phenix City, Alabama; Rexton (Keondra) Johnson, Phenix City, Alabama; and Tevin Johnson, Union Springs, Alabama; three sisters: Raven Johnson, Aaliyah Johnson, both of Union Springs, Alabama, and Thakayla (Greg) Morris, Mobile, Alabama; five uncles: Johnny Anthony, Opelika, Alabama; Ray (Arlene) Anthony, Opelika, Alabama; Stevie (Cindy) Key, Phenix City, Alabama; Scotty Borom, Phenix City, Alabama; and Terry Johnson, Hurtsboro, Alabama; four aunts: Tammie Davis, Opelika, Alabama; Shrell Johnson and Natasia Johnson, both of Phenix City, Alabama; and Laquitta Johnson, of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
