The late Clarence L. Peebles was born on January 18, 1941 to the late Mr. T.L. Peebles and Mrs. Ida Mae Peebles.Clarence confessed Christ at an early age and served faithfully on the Greater Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Deacon Board and as the president of the choir until his untimely death.He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. T.L. and Mrs. Ida Mae Peebles; son, Jeffrey Efford; three sisters, Mary Lee (Henry) Ford, Josephine (Tommy) Baker, and Shirley Elinda (Johnny) Coleman; five brothers, Willie Ben Peebles, Sr., Johnnie "Saul" Peebles, Sr., Thomas Lee (Shirley) Peebles, James Earl Peebles, and Millard Peebles; three nephews, Willie Peebles, Jr., Sherman Peebles, and Cephus L. Murry, Jr.He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a devoted and loving wife, Mrs. Gloria Jean Peebles; daughters, Jacqueline Peebles, Thelma Peebles (Terry Tolliver) and Angela (George) Sellers, and Jaime (Jermaine) Jones, Union Springs, AL; and Stacey (James) Joyner, Columbus, GA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Dotson, Birmingham, AL; brothers, Willie (Manilla) Peebles, Sr.; Johnny (Mable) Peebles, Columbus, GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
