Edna Rosa Tolbert, of Hurtsboro, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Canterbury Health Care Facility, Phenix City, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. CST, Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 34 Stovall Drive, Hurtsboro, with the Pastor Troy Clark, Officiating. Reverend James Pirtle will deliver the eulogy. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 1:00 P.M. CST until 6:00 P.M. at Stovall Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, Hurtsboro.
Edna "Rose" Tolbert was born in Hurtsboro, Alabama, on November 25, 1946, to the late Ophelia Austin and Charlie Snipes. She attended school in the Russell County School System and was a member of First Tabernacle Baptist Church, Phenix City, Alabama.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son and a sister. She is survived by three sisters: Bobbie (Levi) Perry, Hurtsboro; Bessie (Pete) Harris, Hannon, Alabama; and Willie B. Huffman, Tuskegee, Alabama; two brothers: Curtis (Annie) Austin, Phenix City, and Joe (Ora Jean) Randolph, East Chicago, Indiana; aunt, Nillie Russell, Fort Mitchell, Alabama; and uncle James Snipes, Hurtsboro.
