Obituary for Lindsay, Delphine
Mr. Delphine V. Lindsay was born in Russell County, Hurtsboro, Alabama to Jessie Lindsay and Bernice Crawford on January 24, 1952. She was the only child born to this union. She was educated at the Russell County Training School in Hurtsboro, Alabama where she later in life served as a substitute teacher. Delphine confessed her belief in Christ in life and joined the Ross Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Hurtsboro, Alabama where she served as a member of the choir. Delphine V. Lindsay completed her earthly journey and went to rest in the care of God on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Hurtsboro, Alabama. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons; Kelvin (Veronica) Lindsay, Phenix City, AL., Willie (his fianc'e Yolanda) Lindsay, Opelika, AL., one aunt; Eula Phillips, Hurtsboro, AL., three uncles; Mathis ( Donna) Crawford, Buffalo, N.Y. Ruben Crawford, Buffalo, N.Y., Monroe Crawford, Jr., Ft. Myers, FL., seven grandchildren; Jybrieka Lindsay, Jaquan Lindsay, Jatories Lindsay, Alexis Lindsay, Eniea Lindsay, Kelvin Lindsay,Jr., Nehemial Thrasher, a host of other relatives and friends.
