Obituary for Kenyatta S. Austin-Jones
Kenyatta Austin-Jones , of Hurtsboro, Alabama, passed Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM CDT, Sunday April 23, 2017, at First Missionary Baptist Church, Hurtsboro, Alabama. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
She was born in Tuskegee (John Andrews Community Hospital), Alabama, on September 12, 1976 to Bobbie Austin and Quinton Perry. On April 18, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia, Kenyetta was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
At the age of five, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. Later in life she joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama. There she served faithfully until her death.
She was a graduate of the Russell County School System.
Kenyatta leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Andrew Jones; her mother, Bobbie Perry, Hurtsboro, Alabama; one daughter, Kabria Austin, Phenix City, Alabama; two sons: Kbian Austin and Keandrew Austin, both of Phenix City, Alabama; one uncle, Curtis (Annie) Austin, Phenix City; two aunts: Bessie (Pete) Harris, Hannon, Alabama, and Willie B. Huffman, Tuskegee, Alabama; two special cousins: Kendra Lloyd, Phenix City, Alabama, and Ardian Austin, Montgomery, Alabama; and a host of other family and friends.
