Obituary for John Henry Davis
Mr. John Henry Davis passed away on August 13, 2020. He was born on November 2, 1956, in Hurtsboro, Alabama, to the late Eddie L. Davis and Bertha Gary-Davis. He attended the Russell County Training School in Hurtsboro, and was employed by the Alabama Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by both parents and three brothers: Sam Rogers, Dessie Davis, and Eddie Jack Davis. Survivors include his wife, Catherlyn Davis, Seale, Alabama; two sons: Brandon (Jordan) Davis, Seale, and Quinton Dix, Conway, South Carolina; two daughters: Jawanda (Jeffery) Williams and Yemisti Dix, both of Columbus, Georgia; four sisters: Corine (Joe) Collins and Corine Rogers, both of Hurtsboro, Juanita Upshaw, Phenix City, Alabama, and Lurlene Johnson, Eufaula, Alabama; seven brothers: Eddie C. (Bernice) Davis, Columbus, Robert (Doretha) Davis, Phenix City, Willie (Cheryl) Rogers, Orlando, Florida, Willie James Davis and Joe Nathan (Carrie Jean) Davis, both of Hurtsboro; Jimmy (Princess) Rogers, Midway, Alabama, and Tyrone (Renae) Davis, Phenix City. Mr. Davis is also survived by seven grandchildren.
