Obituary for Edwards, William Howard, Jr.
Brother William Howard Edwards, Jr., was born on December 11, 1929 to the late Howard Comer Edwards, Sr., and Maude Simmons Edwards in Hurtsboro, Alabama. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Ross Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Hurtsboro. There he served in various capacities, including a member of the Usher Board, a Class Steward, member of the Board of Trustees, and as Church Custodian. He was a graduate of the Russell County Training School and served his country as a member of the United States Armed Forces. William Howard Edwards passed away from this life and went to rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at his residence in Hurtsboro, Alabama. He was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Willie James Edwards and Clyde Daniels. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, William Howard Edwards, Jr. (Annie Lois) of Hurtsboro; a sister, Thelma Marks of Hammond, Indiana; two brothers: Henry Edwards of Hurtsboro and Robert Edwards of Dothan, Alabama; three grandchildren: James Edwards, Williams Edwards, and Tyrone Randolph; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
