Obituary for Collins, Winnie James
"Father, I Stretch my hands to thee, No other help I know; If thou withdraw thyself from me, Ah! whither shall I go?" Mrs. Winnie James-Collins grew up in the Battle Community along with her brother Edgar (Bud), she was a very caring, hard working, loving person. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved singing, reading, and talking about the goodness of God. Winnie is preceded in death by her husband, the late Julius Collins, she leaves to cherish her memories four loving nieces: Julia Skinner, Lessie Lee Long of Lima, OH., Susie (Samuel) Pugh and Sandra Pitts of Columbus, GA. She also leaves behind great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends.
