Obituary for Catherine Thomas
Mrs. Catherine "Duck" Thomas passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home in Hurtsboro, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. (CDT), Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Shady Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, Hurtsboro, Alabama, with Pastor Annie R. Cannon, officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, September 22, 2017 from 1:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Hurtsboro, Alabama to the late T. J. Giddeon and the late Annie Giddeon. She was member of the Shady Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and a member of the Russell County High School Class of 1979.
She was married to the late Mitchell Thomas, Sr. Survivors include one daughter, Chasity of Hurtsboro; three sons: Mitchell D. and Courtney, both of Hurtsboro, and Jarvis of Columbus, Georgia; three sisters: Mary Ann Washington, Betty (Clark) Key, Letha (Halliton) Fluellen, all of Hurtsboro; three grandchildren, four aunts, five uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
